I caught Julia with an owl today. I hope she wasn't trying to send a message out to anyone.
She claims she was just having some bird-human bonding time. That's really not a Julia thing, but maybe I should give her the benefit of the doubt.
The owl was weird. It made a barking sound. Actually, before I got close enough I thought Julia was holding a small dog. When I got pretty close, the owl flew away. I couldn't tell if there was a message attached.
I think there was a message attached. I hope it wasn't going anywhere that would bring us trouble.

Alex,
Don't worry your pretty little head. You have your ways of communicating. I have my ways. How would you feel if I told you to stop writing on here? Why do you assume this is more safe than an owl?
So, you admit it. You did send an owl!
Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies.
So I shouldn't ask who's going to receive this owl?
Should I tell Mum?
You can...if you want me to turn you into a toad.
I'd like to see you try!!!
Ha! That was low. Seriously though, Alex. Everything is fine. There's no reason to make mum more paranoid. Right?
And do you really think I'd do anything to put us in danger?
Okay. Fine. I'll trust you.
Interesting...
Julia, while I understand your need to talk to someone and have no problem with it, do be careful. Don't put anything revealing in your notes. Write as discreetly as you can. For if the Ministry intercepted them...
Mia,
Thank you! I hope Julia will read that. Well, I'll pass on your message in case she doesn't.
I read the Ministry news today and saw they're letting Hogwarts students go home. Do you have any relatives you can stay with, or are you going to be stuck at Hogwarts? I'll be thinking about you. I imagine it's going to be a difficult Christmas for you and your sister. I hope there's some joy though.
While, no matter whether or not she has a place to stay, she has to go somewhere. You are not allowed to stay at Hogwarts over Christmas break anymore.
*Well,
Lynette,
Wow. I didn't know that. Why aren't they letting students stay there over Christmas?
Alex,
Your welcome, and don't worry. Spohie and I will actually be staying with my friend's, Athena, family.
Mia,
Athena Kensley? She seems very nice! I hope all of you have a happy Christmas : )
I am glad all of you are going to have a nice christmas. I will be spending it alone. But lets hope the Centars will let me stay in there camp longer.
Alex, I believe the reasoning is that if a student stays it shows that their family has a reason to want them away, like ties to the Rebellion. In these times everyones a suspect.
Proud Mudblood: I hope you don't have to spend Christmas alone.
SC Mather: Well, I hope all those students find a place to stay for Christmas.
Alex,
Thanks. You guys, too. :)
One of our agents in the Ministry said that the Ministry wants to clear Hogwarts of students in order to conduct a thorough search of Hogwarts, including any belongings students leave behind, for dangerous objects, any evidence of Rebellion activity/affiliation, and so on. When students return, they and the belongings they bring with them will be thoroughly searched before being allowed into the castle.
There has even been talk of installing those security scanners muggles use at airports - the XYZ-ray machines that show everything under your clothes - on Platform 9 3/4. The only reason the Ministry hasn't moved forward with this plan is because they're fairly certain that pureblood parents won't stand for such an invasive procedure.
Wow, I'm so happy I'm no longer a student!
Aofie,
I suspected as much when they made the annoucement. But what they don't know is that they won't find anything. Our way of cummunication is rather subtle.

Please be nice to each other, even if you disagree with what the other person is saying.
If you suddenly feel possessed by a futuristic Muggle, PLEASE go to the OOC section to the right.
