I read the Ministry news today. It offended me slightly, but it also made me laugh. I love this bit. "Mudbloods do these things without any rhyme or reason. It’s just in their nature." Maybe that explains why Julia came up and turned off my game when I told her not to. I was in the middle of playing Mario 64!

Well, you shouldn't have been playing when Home and Away is on!
I just wanted to finish fighting Bowser. You couldn't wait five minutes? And also, you didn't have to turn off the game. You could have just switched it to the telly mode. That way I wouldn't have lost my game!!!!!
Yegh! I hate the word "mudblood." I just can't get past it. I've tried considering it an honorable title but...no. I just hate it.
I don't like the word either. I would never use it outside of quoting someone else who said it. I'm sorry if I offended you. And Julia, I'm sorry if I offended you as well. I was just trying to be silly, but I should have probably been more considerate and careful.
Ha! So now we're even and I don't have to feel guilty about messing up your game.
I don't hate the word Mudblood. Actually, I love it….well, at least when a certain person says it.
What?????? Who says it??
Anyway, I still feel guilty about writing it. So, if you can forgive me for that, I'll forgive you for turning off my game.
I'm so tired of the Ministry making these erroneous statements without the data to prove them. In fact, a great deal of data exists to prove many of their statements are false, but I have no doubt those records have conveniently disappeared from Ministry, Daily Prophet and library archives. I can only hope that these records, most of which have been published, are being safely maintained in foreign countries or are have been hidden safely in private collections in the U.K.
Equally frustrating is how willing people are to believe these statements without evidence, no matter how ridiculous the statements are. Why? It makes absolutely no sense.
In a way, I don't think evidence even matters. People are going to believe what they want to believe. If there's evidence to prove otherwise, they'll just question the validity of the evidence. If the "facts" agree with what they believe, they won't ask for evidence.
It's a bit sad really. In a way, I think it's better to appeal to people's heart rather than their minds. But a lot of times that doesn't work either. Sometimes it's a lost cause.

Please be nice to each other, even if you disagree with what the other person is saying.
