http://tm-a.tumblr.com This is my official Tumblr page and it has all my favourite things in it - pictures, music, videos, and, of course, a lot of fangirling is going on there too ;). If you like it, I welcome you to follow me. I have only 5 followers currently so I'd really like some more =). Thank you!

A,
Thanks for the link. Awesome page! I'm trying to sign up for tumblr so I can follow, but having trouble with that for now.
I'm working on getting a deviant art account set up. It'll probably just have some funny little comics about my life. Like how boyfriend and I are absolutely terrified of spiders and turn into thirteen year old girls when we see one, or how I look vs. how I feel when I'm in my student teaching placement, or a commentary on how I feel about...what ever was in the news that day. I'm told I'm a very funny person so we shall see.
Ah, and there will probably be some Sussannh related art on there to. She did start out in a comic book I was writing after all.
Cat, That would be great! If you end up doing it, please share the link here. I imagine the spider ones would be funny. I did student-teaching so I might be able to relate to those comics.
Here's my flickr photo page. Pretty sure you don't have to sign up to look. Haven't done much updating for awhile, but I plan to this summer. It's a big job - I've got probably 10,000 photos to sort through.

Also, I'll miss talking with everyone when MiM is over so maybe we could somewhat safely exchange info. My character - Aoife Oddbody - has a Facebook page so feel free to connect through there. Just be sure to tell me your character name so I know who you are.
I understand what you mean about seeing the real people behind the characters and having that diminish the experience. I feel the same way, too.
I generally hesitate to reveal the real me because I want people to believe in the characters I've created, plus I am playing to take a break from my real life. When I've gotten to know people behind the characters, though, it's always been a good experience, so, if I'm playing on a site for awhile, I usually end up making real world contact with a few people.
My MiM character is closest to my real personality of any character I've created, but I'm *much* more flawed in real life, so maybe more likable ... ? I think I've made the mistake of making my character too good. Now she's not allowed to have weaknesses or make mistakes. For instance, when she referred to Ministy-supporting purebloods as "poor ickle purebloods" - which is something I'd totally do in real life - she was criticized by another character! When other characters do and say FAR worse!!! Time to tarnish my character a bit.
I've added you as a contact in Flickr and will read your blog. I used to write a blog in character, but I've let that lapse. Maybe it's time to start another. And funny that you're an American obsessed with Australia because I'm an American obsessed with England. Been wanting to go for years, haven't gotten there yet, saving up money for a trip ... though I'm also getting obsessed with Scandinavia so now am thinking I'll need to go there...
Aoife,
I'm beginning to think it's common for people to make characters that are overly good....unless they're making villains.
If I recall correctly, you're the one who usually plays bad characters when role-playing?
I think with the message boards, it's hard to reveal weaknesses. I mean we're mostly talking about rebellion and ministry issues. It's not like we're going to jump in and say "Hey, by the way I sometimes pick my nose in public."
I suppose some of our character's personality can come out a bit in what we say...whether they're tolerant, hypocritical, friendly, fake, too perfect etc.
So...Scandinavia. That would explain your interest in salty licorice. I'm guessing it's really nice there, since it always seems to win best-country type things.
I hope you're able to go to England and/or Scandinavia!
Thanks for adding me as a Flickr contact. I added you as one too!
Anyway....I personally like Aoife a lot. She's very good, but has a sharp sense of humor. She does some name-calling, but not in a cruel way. There's so many HORRIBLY mean characters in the world (the real one and the pretend ones). I think we need some overly good people to balance things.
Forgot to say.....
I think it would be awesome if you did a character blog. This is the first one I've ever done.

Please be nice to each other, even if you disagree with what the other person is saying.
If you suddenly feel possessed by a futuristic Muggle, PLEASE go to the OOC section to the right.
