My family is changing, and I'm trying to keep up with all of it.
Julia never showed much interest in magic. Right? I hardly ever saw her open a school book. She's been studying them like crazy the past few days. And she's practising! I have to admit it. I'm impressed.
Since she wasn't kicked out of Hogwarts for bad grades, I'm guessing she knew how to do them at least a little bit. My guess is she didn't have enough confidence before. Maybe?
Anyway, she's become really good at Accio. She thinks it's hilarious to pull things out of my hand. "Accio book!" "Accio toothbrush!" "Accio chocolate bar".
She practised Diffindo on one of her old dresses several times. She had no success. She tried it on my shirt as a joke, and it worked. To Julia's credit, she was very apologetic....well, at least when she was not laughed. I think she was actually proud of herself. I have to admit. I was proud too. And it's not like I really loved that particular shirt.
She's practised flying a bit with the new broom that Proud Mudblood gave her. She's a bit scared of heights though. And I get scared as well, so I probably end up making her even more nervous. There's a lot of "Be Careful! Be Careful! Hold on tight!" Okay, and you'll probably laugh...but she's only flying in the house. So, it's not even that high. We're too nervous to do it outside because the neighbours might see.
Don't worry. We always make sure to turn off the ceiling fan during practice time.
Julia isn't the only one who's changed. I thought the incident would make my mum even more paranoid and overprotective. I was wrong. It's totally changed her. She says there's no use hiding. If someone wants to find us, they'll find us. So her new thing is to be prepared for confrontation. We're all soon going to be signing up for self defence courses. Is there any type of martial arts that will work against a wizard? I don't know. But I guess we're going to try.
My dad is pretty much the same. He's still a huge Harry Potter fan. Now that my mum has relaxed a bit about hiding, he wants us to seek out other wizards here in Australia. He did some research and found out there's a small wizarding village in Sydney. We might go there soon.
I hope all is well with you guys.

I'm glad to here that y'all have mostly gotten over the attack, it's great to here that you're preparing.
Sadly, here at Hogwarts, all we learn now in Defense Against the Dark Arts (oh, sorry, The Dark Arts) are curses that used to be illegal (the Unforgivables for instance)so I still feel a awkward using them, and only do when absolutely necessary.
At least the DA is still going strong, THERE I actually learn something USEFUL.
Sorry for venting, but I really needed to, our next DA meeting isn't for another next week, so I haven't had a safe place to vent until now.
Good luck with your practice/self-defense/preparations.
Lynette,
I feel so bad that you're stuck at Hogwarts. Were you able to go home for Christmas? I can't imagine being home and then having to return to the torture zone. It's incredibly depressing. Vent as much as you want here. There's a lot of really good listeners here.
Everything is so crazy. I think we all need to support each other.
it's changing for the better. By the way does that two way mirror work? I bought it from a short bald man for really cheap. I hope it works.
Proud Mudblood,
Sorry. I tried it really fast a few days ago. I didn't see anything. But maybe I didn't try hard enough. Or maybe it doesn't work for me since I'm a Muggle. ???
I'll ask Julia to try it.
Alex! That settlement is where the friend I told you about lives. Jalena Fields. Do look her up if you need anything. Tell her I sent you.
I'm glad to hear you are well.
SC Mather,
Thank you! We'll try to find her.
I'm glad you guys are adjusting and becoming used to the situation. I'm glad that you're happy (for the most part) and ope you stay safe.
Thank you, Mia!
It should work for Muggles. But try it with Julia and if it does not work I’ll take it back, and see if I can do some work on it. It probably has a Muggle-Repelling Charm on it.
I haven't used it because it would make me feel like a stalker. What if I look inside the mirror and you're on the toilet, or something?
Alex,
I read your bio-thing. I'm working on mine now. It's going to be a million times better than your pathetic story.
Don't get your knickers in a twist. I'm only joking. Your biography wasn't bad.
Actually, you'll probably hate mine...a lot.
Oh, and sorry for messing up your shirt. But it was a bad colour on your anyway.
I don't keep it on me all the time. Just look in the mirror and say my name. I should be able to hear your voice from in my Rucksack.
Proud Mudblood: Thank you! It's very nice to have the mirror in case of an emergency.
Julia: I look forward to reading your masterpiece.
Ummm... I just went to Magic is Might and it redirected me to a page saying 'account suspended' anyone else having this problem???
Lynette,
Wow. I don't know what to think. Could it be that the rebellion has won? Maybe they took down the Ministry's site?
Alex,
Sadly, no. The rebellion site is down too. This is strange.
That's kind of scary. Why would both be down? It scares me. It makes me think that all this time the Rebellion has truly been working for the Ministry.
No, that sounds really paranoid. Doesn't it? And it makes me sick to imagine that all these people we trusted are really on the bad side.
Maybe the Rebellion site wasn't truly the rebellion? Maybe it was made by the Ministry as a trap, and they just pretended to be Tonks and all of them. But then wouldn't the real Tonks try to warn people. Oh! Wait maybe she's in Azkaban. Or maybe she's trapped somewhere, and someone is using polyjuice to make themselves look like her.
Okay. You know what. I AM getting really paranoid now.
I hate this.
Another idea is that maybe the Rebellion and the Ministry were using Muggle websites to spread their message. Maybe the Muggles started to get suspicious and scared of all the wizarding talk?

Please be nice to each other, even if you disagree with what the other person is saying.
If you suddenly feel possessed by a futuristic Muggle, PLEASE go to the OOC section to the right.
